Dumayat ES bags Major Awards in the 70^th GSP Provincial Encampment 2019

The DES GSP Team and DES Teaching Staff recognizes the winners of the
70th GSP Provincial Encampment

         Lingayen, Pangasinan- The 70^th GSP Provincial Encampment was held at Beach Front Lingayen Pangasinan on November 22-24, 2019 with the Theme: “Treasuring the Past, Shaping the Future”. The event was participated by registered girl scouts of both elementary and secondary from the entire province of Pangasinan. The activity aimed to help girls and young women realize the ideals of womanhood and prepare themselves for their responsibilities in the home, to the nation, and to the world community.

This four day camp was successfully held under the combined dynamic leadership of our GSP Pangasinan President, Hon. Judy dl Vargas, and Council Executive, Euphemia B. De Guzman. The strong promotion, advocacy and awareness on the importance of GSP drew an estimated seven thousand (7,000) participants. The relevant activities focused on 8-point challenge, Smart Surf and Girl Power Nutrition.

With the success of this event comes the success of the Dumayat Elementary School GSP Girl Power Nutrition Team who won the CHAMPION COLORFUL PARTY  GPN (Junior Level) and will be the representative in the Regional GSP Encampment on February 2020. Moreover, the following major awards were garnered by the team including the three schools (Moreno ES, San Feipe ES and BNCSSC) of Binalonan I:

§  1^ST PLACE- Dance Of The Deccade( Adult Category)

§  1^ST PLACE -Best in costume  Dance of the decade( Adult Category)

§  3^rd PLACE- Best PERFORMER DANCE OF THE DECADE( Junior Level)

§  3^rd PLACE BEST IN COSTUME ( Junior Level)

§  3rd PLACE BEST IN CAMP LAY-OUT ( Junior Level)
- 4th PLACE DANCE EXERCISE (Twinkler)

§  3^rd PLACE Best Decoration  Christmas Around The World

The encampment surely contributed to the total development of the girl scouts. It also empowered the girls to be the leaders of tomorrow while propelling them to act as they continue to achieve their goals and readying them to serve their fellowmen. This camp featured activities where the girls discovered their fullest potential. In this encampment, GSP fulfilled its aim to develop Girl Scouts in all aspects of their well-being from physical to psychological.
