by MARLYN C. CASABAR (Organizer/Proponent)

Mrs. Casabar discusses the seven  best strategies
in teaching Science.
Teaching strategies and approaches in Science are unique in nature because they require collaborative learning, experimenting, observing and the use of the Science processes. The objectives of the LAC session conducted in Dumayat Elementary School on February 12, 13 and 14, 2020 were described as an “escaped route” or a “away out” for the learners and teachers because Science is “learning by doing”. This three-day activity seeks to achieve the use of   different strategies and techniques in teaching Science in the elementary level and equipped teachers with necessary skills on how to make Science learning more meaningful, engaging and interesting.
Mrs. Sibolboro demonstrates teaching in Science.

'A Pledge of Charity of Balangue Family’

‘A Pledge of Charity of Balangue Family’

“It’s our vow to Almighty Father to give back the blessings He provides”,- Ana May T. Balangue

Mrs. Ana May Balangue inspires
the learners and parents on the story
behind her family's charity work.
Dumayat ES- Mrs. Ana May Balangue and her family have distributed school supplies to one hundred twenty-three (123) learners of Dumayat Elementary School. Aside from that, they also conducted livelihood training caravan for parents on Dishwashing Liquid Making as part of their pledge to help others to uplift their living, share the importance of hard work and inspire them to be successful business persons.
This charitable activity of Balangue’s family is part of their advocacy to end up poverty and help other people to start making a living or business even in the simplest way. Because they know the feeling and experience of having nothing except for their determination and hard work, the family has to continue the legacy of sharing the secret to success and help others to succeed as well.

This charity started, as shared by Mrs. Ana May Balangue, when a natural disaster (tornado) hit her family’s business in Asingan, Pangasinan on 2015. “Nothing was left only the floor of our business”, she shared. From that moment on, they started from nothing but their faith has strongly grown. They started a dishwashing liquid making until a Funeral Home was established on the following year. Since then, their business became successful and stable. Mrs. Balangue pledged to Almighty God that her family’s blessings will be shared to others especially to schools and those who are in need.
Dishwashing Liquid Making
Nevertheless, this charitable work has great impact to our learners and to our parents. It is not only sharing but also caring to other people that we can always start in making our lives successful and contented with God’s protection and providence. Dumayat ES is grateful and fortunate to be the recipient of this year’s charity work of Balangue’s Family.
