Dumayat ES, Barangay Council collaborate for the Learning Continuity Plan

Dumayat, Binalonan- Dumayat Elementary School has been preparing for the new normal this coming school year. To be prepared, the school has been conducting collaborative and consultative meeting on the learning continuity plan to deliver quality education to learners.

On July 30, 2020, DES with the leadership of Mr. Ricardo S. Tambogon, school head, and Barangay Officials of Dumayat with the leadership of Hon. Rodelito R. ALibuyog, Brgy. Captain, conducted the joint meeting to discuss the  learning continuity plan of the school.
The consultative meeting is a venue to discuss some concerns and issues in the delivery of learning to the learners. Likewise, possible solutions and strategic remedies were presented to the barangay council.

In the preparation of learning materials, teachers will prepare and reproduce modules and worksheets. Each learner will be provided with learning kit which contains modules, worksheets and other learning materials. Two teachers will be assigned by zone to group the learners kit.
After which, there are two means of delivering the learners materials. First strategy is parents will come to school on scheduled date and time to pick up the learners’ materials. Before entering the school, parents shall wear facemask, get their body temperature, sanitize their hands and sign in the logbook.
Second, for those parents who are far from the school, teachers will deliver the learning materials in their houses. For the safety protocols, teachers will wear facemask, face shield, and other PPE. They will also bring alcohol and thermal scanners before distributing the modules and worksheets. After the distribution, teachers will track the learners’ activity through social media, text and call.
On the part of the Barangay Council, transportation will be provided by the barangay during the distribution and retrieval of learners’ materials. Likewise, teachers will be accompanied by the assigned Barangay Health Worker to monitor the health of the parents.
To conclude, Barangay Officials pledge to support the school in the provision of printing materials, transportation and other supports for the education of the learners.
Andrew Carnegie said “Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.”
