Approaches and Techniques are important tools toward the development of the learner’s intellect, attitudes and spirit that they may be inspired to study and understand their subjects.

The Dumayat Elementary School conducted its own school-based LAC session on Approaches and Techniques in Teaching MTB-MLE, Filipino and Araling Panlipunan which support the teachers for innovative practices that would enhance their skills and competencies in developing the children literacy skills and attitude on learning. This training covered three days from February 26-28, 2020 at 4:00 -5:00 in the afternoon. This School based LAC Session headed by the school head Mr. Ricardo S. Tambogon and the Proponent Marjorie M. Lemon and Margarita R. Ochinang together with the supportive teaching staff of Dumayat Elementary School.

On the first day, the SLAC Session focused on Techniques in Teaching Araling Panlipunan discussed by Marjorie M. Lemon. She emphasized the use of graphic organizers in the teaching and learning process as visual displays of key content information designed to benefit learners who have difficulty organizing information and meant to help learners clearly visualize how ideas are organized within a text or surrounding a concept.

On the second day, the SLAC session was about the Approaches in Teaching MTB-MLE and Filipino was introduced by Margarita R. Ochinang. She discussed about the important approaches to improve the teaching – learning process to improve the learning performances of pupils in MTB-MLE and Filipino.

On the third day, it was a demonstration teaching of Maricel S. Eduarte. She used a graphic organizer to help present information in concise ways that highlight the organization and relationships of concepts.

As a concluding part of the LAC session, awarding of certificates to working committees, participants, speakers and organizer took place in the afternoon with a simple pictorial.
